National Skills Policy and Strategy Drivers
Leitch Review of Skills
This was published on 5 December 2006 and it sets out a compelling vision for the UK. It shows that the UK must urgently raise achievements of skill levels and it recommends a commitment to becoming a world leader in skills by 2020. In practical terms, this means doubling attainment at most levels of skill. Responsibility for achieving these ambitions will need to be shared between Government, employers and individuals.
