ESF Priorities

The England National European Social Fund Operational Programme 2007-2013 is being taken forward through a series of Regional ESF Frameworks. The South West ESF Competitiveness Framework covers the whole of the South West besides Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, which falls under the ESF Convergence Framework, for which three separate priorities have been identified.

The overall strategic objective of the ESF programme is to support sustainable economic growth and social inclusion in England by contributing to policies to increase the employment rate and to develop a skilled and adaptable workforce.
