Supporting the development of an integrated all age Information, Advice and Guidance service

Evidence from SSCs and more widely points strongly to the need for an effective and consistent all age information, advice and guidance service in the region. The Leitch Review proposes an adult guidance service, and the outcome of the national IAG Review is expected. However, it will be important to take the opportunity for an integrated approach across all age groups within the region.

The RSP will:

• Investigate the feasibility of supporting the integration of IAG services covering learning, work and careers and making the links to reach out to those groups which have become the most difficult to reach.  

• Support the development of a web based portal for LMI for IAG practitioners, young people and adults.

• Assess the current provision for formal and informal mentoring models for practitioners, peers, professionals, advisers, teachers and employers so that employers can be engaged and young people have the information they need to make informed choices and subsequently develop further plans as required.
